Specific Need
The Friends of the River Foundation is striving to be sustainable by building the Friends Endowment. The restoration of the Smoky Hill River is in process, going into construction in 2027, and the Friends of the River is fundraising for projects along the River not covered by the city and Federal Grants. The Friends host clean-ups and create opportunities through educational outreach for the public to engage and learn about this natural resource.
Mission
The Friends of the River Foundation advocates, communicates and educates for the good of the Smoky Hill River to benefit the community through which it flows.
